How to Set a Preset Document in Procreate (in two Easy Steps)

Want to save time by creating a custom canvas size in Procreate that you can reuse over and over again? Setting up a preset document is easy and will streamline your workflow. Here’s how to do it in just a few steps!

Step 1:Open Procreate

Open the Procreate app on your iPad and you will see the gallery interface as shown below👇. The existent artwork in the gallery is a default image that comes with Procreate. You will be adding your own artwork to the gallery as you continue to create them.

Step 2: Tap the “+” Icon

On the gallery screen, locate the “+” icon in the top-right corner to create a new canvas. Tap the + sign for the drop-down menu and you will see choices of preset canvas. If any of them suits your goal, click on any of them and your document will be set up automatically. The picture below shows samples of some of the preset canvas options.
